A Word of Introduction to Simply A Message

Today we are going to take a unique and quite unusual sit in the discussion.  This homeless folk will be talking about the pandemic that is sweeping through America and the related changes that they are witnessing. They are in a place where while being unseen, they can in turn see quite a bit and witness more then we can often times. The pandemic hit them hard as well, but the risk and potential loss was not in the cards for them. So today we get to hear from them and their perspective on the human reaction to the pandemic and its aftermath.

Simply A Message, A Dose of Truth

You Folks can’t Handle the Truth, found after Howard went to jail again for falling asleep just sitting on a bench, again.

Morning, yes, morning, all is well. Yes, I guess. Nothing new, so that makes it good, I guess.  These mornings lend themselves to my thinking mornings, where I like to stay tucked away and just ponder, scratch my head and think.  What about? Well, us homeless folk for once are in the audience rather then being the main attraction and it has been unique to see the change.

See, I was reading this book, yes, us homeless folk do know how to read and many love to read, in the book it was talking about leadership and how important it is.  I got stuck on this one line from the book ‘a leader must se the future and lead the people into that future. They cannot be pushed, shoved, or swept into said future. Heck, us homeless bums can see the handwriting on wall almost better then the elected leaders and yet we are told to be quiet and move and not to bother anybody, where is leadership that will listen.

Wait a minute, I know where you are going, you are thinking about this mess the country is in right now. Yup, these people her are being shoved this way and that because of the virus and leaders who do not know what they are doing and because they do not care.

Even us homeless do not want to be shoved into a future where no picture of that future has been shown to us, we are a tad smarter than that. Without leaders these people are reacting and then we sit here and watch the fall out, unfortunately.

The people and police treat us like our basic liberties are gone when we become homeless and look at what the government it is trying under the color of protection due to a little tiny virus, they are setting up a situation to take civil liberties from the people.  You and me, we can see it, they can’t!

So, if the resources were out there, either for the ones going through the pandemic in homes or us homeless folks, it they were there, would it be effective to shove us into them, or to paint the picture for us? Well, I guess, it would, from what you said, painting, man, painting the picture.  The government does not want us involved in our decision-making process, total frustration, and now those with homes are being forced to be outside of the decision process.

But buddy how does any of this change, can it be changed? This where we can actually sit back and watch and even learn from those with houses, they are being made to make decision that they never thought they would have to.  So now we get free learning from them by being in the audience and watching the fallout from the pandemic.

Those are facing separation from loved ones, less food availability, work shortages, schools shut down, kids struggling, parents in ill health, finances cut severely and the list goes on, we wish no harm, but it is learning time for us.  They are sadly forced into this by bad leadership, we by being homeless, let’s learn to try and re-gain stability. Each man out here is a king unto himself, but if each man can learn then he can make decision and not be shoved blindly into a future that may not be a good one. Okay, chew on that while we enjoy being in the audience.
